A couple of our friends are just back from two weeks in the sun - no, we are not jealous. Arriving back in England to rain and significantly lower temperatures they have arranged a BBQ this weekend so we are keeping our fingers crossed that the forecast will be much better - it is June after all.

We promised we would take a little something to add to their outdoor dining table and perhaps bring back a few memories of their holiday abroad.

We have a bottle of their favourite plonk and we are also taking a few items from the fabulous Bambu Tableware range of plates and salad servers.

This delightful bamboo tableware range has created quite a buzz in the shop and with their pastel colours and simple shades are great for adding that touch of contemporary outdoor dining without breaking the bank.

The Bambu bowls are coiled and shaped by hand, then applied with a natural food safe lacquer derived from the cashew nut tree, finally finished with a durable food safe PU lacquer, which makes them suitable for serving hot or cold food.

Matching bamboo serving spoon and forks are available which are perfect as salad servers but also great for pasta and vegetables.

They can all be washed in warm soapy water and are great for dining outside with the barbeque or use them for everyday use.
