How to use a Cafetiere

Just add one heaped dessertspoon of your favourite ground coffee per normal sized cup. Check coffee packaging to make sure it is a suitable grind for cafetieres. Fill the beaker leaving a 2.5cm space at the top, with water just off the boil. Stir with a plastic or wooden spoon, replace the plunger and lid. Stand for at least four minutes. Push plunger down slowly, holding the handle of the cafetiere firmly with the other hand. Serve immediately.
