Best to park in the Old Market car park at the southern end of town and walk down to South Street. We are at the end you first come to.

Dorchester is Dorset's ancient capital, full of historic interest and unique shops, with the resort of Weymouth only seven miles south. From the east, take the M3 from London towards Southampton. At Southampton take the M27 west, which later becomes the A31. After travelling along the A31 for a short while, Dorchester will be signposted. Turn onto the A35 where signs indicate, which will take you straight to Dorchester. From the west, either find the A35 at Honiton near Exeter and follow it east, or alternatively take the A303 east and turn off at Yeovil, following signs for the A37 to Dorchester. From the north, take the M5 south and turn off at the A303 (signposted Weymouth), then follow the directions above.
